About me
Most of the wool handicrafts in the online store are made of sheep wool and as much as I can, I use Kihnu native sheep wool.
The Kihnu native sheep is a local indigenous breed that originally formed the majority of the Estonian native sheep breed, but by the beginning of the 21st century it had survived only on islands and isolated outlying areas. On 20.01.2016, the Kihnu native sheep was recognized as a breed by the Estonian Agricultural Society (PTA). The sheep breed was listed as an endengered species in 2019.
I myself raised Kihnu native sheep for almost 15 years. I have loved handicrafts since I was a child.
For 2 years I have studied at the Viljandi Academy of Culture in the department of national handicrafts.
